Soren Stuve (they/them) is a queer, dyslexic storyteller who studied film and screenplay writing at The School of Visual Arts, graduating with a grant from New York Women in Film & Television. Their work caught the eye of the poet Anne Waldman, who encouraged Stuve to experiment with prose poetry, and mentored them at the Naropa University Summer Writing Program. For the past three years, Stuve has participated in the Clarion West Flash Fiction Workshop. Their video projects have led them to work with The LGBT Center of New York and the Stonewall National Monument, where they researched archival history and integrated first-hand accounts of early activism into digital educational tools. By day, Stuve currently works as a video editor with music artists such as Billie Eilish, Dua Lipa, Megan Thee Stallion, and Sabrina Carpenter, and by night, they write speculative fiction about chaotic women and genderpunks who shake up the system.
